Exhibition view, “Hebebühne”, Glashaus Prenzlau
Weedy Metal, 2021
installation with cyanotypes on textile, office chairs, houseplants
Glashaus Prenzlau is a former Opel car-showroom with studios and workshops attached that date back to the 1930s. Throughout the years of being in use as a car garage, many different metal tools were left on the premises. Having been completely vacant after an insolvency in 2018, plant life on the fringes of the property grew unchecked, especially a large area of japanese knotweed, covering a height of about three meters. For "Hebebühne", I made prints with some of the plants and tools i found scattered around the property combining them as a form of wild, remnant growth.
